Yes, it’s here! I guess you could say I took the cheap way out and bought the least expensive L. BUT…..it was truly the one recommended to me by a fellow rodeo photographer. For this lens it will do great outdoors for action stuff, and that’s just what I wanted it for…. So it’s about $1000 LESS THAN the version I was considering. Hey, I’m a bargain shopper and when my buddy told me this one was perfect for what I wanted I jumped on it!
So, it comes yesterday via UPS next day air. Hey, I have seen first hand how some of these packages get ’shipped’ and I didn’t want that thing sitting around in the mail any longer than it had to. That, and I’m impatient, lol!
Anyways, nothing to photograph at the office so I play around putting on the camera, take a few test shots, etc. I figure the real action will come if I can get home and it’s still light out and get some pictures of the dogs running around. Well, it turns out to be this crappy rainy yucky day! Dark and dreary. Ugh. Well, I got one good pic of Duchess. This was hand held. Camera in one hand taking the pic and leash in the other hand holding the dog. Gotta say I’m impressed so far….
Now for some SUN PLEASE! Maybe today, lol

Welcome to the wonderful world of L! I’ve had this lens for a little over a year and still call it “baby” – it’s a fantastic lens! I know you’ll take amazing photos with it!

omigosh I am addicted lol I’ve been all over your blog and I SO love your furbabies, Duchess is gorgeous, your photo’s are awesome and hubby has some very intense eyes.
